Shashank Manohar again elected Chairman of International Cricket Council
Shashank Manohar has again been elected the independent chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC). He was elected unopposed for the second term.

Shashank Manohar was elected the independent chairman of the ICC for the first time in 2016.
In the last two years Manohar made several important improvements in the game. They overturned the 2014 resolution.
He implemented an amended governance framework, which included the appointment of the first independent woman director of the ICC. After that, Indra Nooyi was appointed the first independent woman director of the ICC.

Shashank Manohar was elected the 29th President of the BCCI between September 25, 2008, and September 19, 2011.
When he was elected president of the BCCI. During this time India defeated Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the last match and won the 2011 World Cup.
He was elected the first independent president of the International Cricket Council (ICC) on 12 May 2016.
He resigned from the post of BCCI President on May 10, 2016 to be elected to the post.
