NASA's Kepler Space Telescope: Retired after nine years of discovering planets

The Kepler Space Telescope mission that explored NASA's planets has ended. This telescope is going to retire after nine years of service. Scientists have said that Kepler telescope, which helps in the search of 2,600 planets, has finished fuel so it is retiring.

According to NASA, Kepler's sign of fuel finish was only about two weeks ago. The scientists were successful in collecting all the data of it before its fuel was completely exhausted. NASA says that at the moment Kepler is in a safe orbit away from Earth.

  • Kepler telescope has discovered a cyclic binary system. Under it, two stars are circling each other and a satellite is circling around the two. The name of this solar system is Kepler-16B and the names of both the stars are respectively 34b and 35b.
