IPD started international speed post service for six countries

International speed post service for six other countries has been started by the Indian Postal Department. This service has been started for the countries of Europe, America and Asia by the Department of Posts under the Union Ministry of Telecommunications.


  • This service can be availed by Express Mail Service (EMS) run by the postal department.
  • Significantly, EMS is a special service, through which users can send documents and merchandise in a short time.
  • In this, the object can also be tracked on the Internet.
  • The Indian Postal Department has increased its international services, introducing speed post services to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Equador, Brazil, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, and North Macedonia.
  • For these countries EMS facility will be available in major post offices across the country.
  • Indian Post provides speed post facility for almost 100 countries.
  • This facility will strengthen contact with people living in these countries and increase business, as EMS is a popular medium for small and medium enterprises.
