Cricketer Lasith Malinga announced Retirement

Sri Lankan pace bowler Lasith Malinga announced his retirement on July 22, 2019. He  will play the first match of the three ODI series against Bangladesh. However this will be his last ODI. This match will be played in Colombo, Sri Lanka on July 26, 2019.

However, Lasith Malinga will continue to play T20 matches. Malinga had retired from Test cricket after the 2011 World Cup. Sri Lankan captain Dimuth Karunaratne said in the press conference that Lasith Malinga told me that he will play the first ODI of the series and then take his retirement.
