'Bold Kurukshetra' war practice started between India and Singapore

Beginning in 'Bold Kurukshetra Practice-2019', Bilateral exercise between India and Singapore's forces in Babina. The troops of both the armies participated together at the ceremony. This joint exercise is being organized from April 8 to April 11 in Babina, Jhansi.

Colonel S.P. representing the Indian team in this war practice are lions. While Lt Col Tong Tong is representing the Singaporean team. This is the 12th exercise that is being done between India and Singapore.

An Objective:

  • This war practice is being organized in order to strengthen military technology, maritime security between the two countries. Through this war practice, both countries will strengthen the fight against terrorism.

Main point:

  • On this occasion, the parade conducted in accordance with the military traditions was commanded by the army officers of the armies of the two countries.
  • The revised defense cooperation agreement was signed on November 29, 2017 to strengthen existing defense relations between the Indian Army and Singapore Armed Forces.
  • Under this agreement, Singapore's army will do training and firing exercises together with the Indian Army.
  • India and Singapore have signed a bilateral agreement in 2003 for enhancing military cooperation, organizing joint military training, developing military technology and securing maritime security.
  • The two countries have jointly expanded their cooperation in fighting terrorism.

Indo-Singapore relations:

Indo-Singapore has long been a cultural, commercial, and strategic relationship. Bilateral relations between the Republic of India and the Republic of Singapore have traditionally been strong and friendly. India and Singapore have signed the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA) and Strategic Relations Agreement to enhance trade, investment and economic cooperation, and bilateral cooperation on maritime security, training forces, joint naval exercises, military technology development and fighting terrorism Cooperation has expanded.

Singapore is the 8th largest source of investment in India and the ASEAN is the largest in member states. Diplomatic relations between India and Singapore were established on August 24, 1965. India and Singapore have long shared cultural, commercial and strategic ties. Singapore supported India against the war and Kashmir struggle against Pakistan in 1965.
