SBI Decreases ATM Withdrawal Limit

State bank of india (SBI), the country's largest bank, has made a major cut in the limit of cash withdrawal from the ATM. The bank has reduced the limit of 50 percent cash. Now you can withdraw only 20 thousand from SBI ATM in 1 day. Earlier this limit was 40 thousand rupees. The new limit will be applicable from 31 October 2018.

According to ET, in a message sent to the banks, the bank has said that the bank is receiving several complaints of fraud and fraud on ATM transactions and this decision has been taken to promote digital transactions. This decision is for classic and Maestro cards. By putting a skimming device in the fraudulent ATM, people steal the PIN of the debit card. Later they steal these money through it. There is a large part of the classic card in the bank's portfolio. SBI has imposed this limit on the card shortly before the festival season. This can make people difficult to buy the festival season.
